POP UP TALK: Stop Posing Your Dog—The Secret to Better Photos
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Great dog photos don’t require a perfect sit, an expensive camera, or a dog who loves to pose. Your dog does not need to be off leash.
Join professional pet photographer Sandy McCarthy of Sandra McCarthy Photography for a fun, fast-moving Pop Up Talk designed to help you capture better, more natural photos of your dog. Through live demonstrations and a behind-the-scenes look at her studio, Sandy will share practical ways to work with your dog’s personality, movement, comfort level, and surroundings instead of trying to force the perfect pose.
You’ll learn:
- Why some of the best dog photos happen when you stop asking for a sit and stay
- Simple ways to use light, background, perspective, and positioning more effectively
- How to capture personality, movement, and connection—not just a pose
- Ways to get your dog’s attention without turning the photo into a struggle
- How to adjust the setup when your dog has other ideas
- How to use a leash to your advantage
This won’t be a traditional Zoom session. Expect live examples, audience participation, quick challenges, and prize giveaways throughout the hour.
You don’t need professional equipment or a perfectly trained dog—just a willingness to see your dog, and your photos, a little differently.
- N/C for members (Your special pricing will be reflected in the CART.)
- $15/person for Not-Yet Members
This event will take place in our Zoom Room. You will receive the Zoom Room link upon registering.
Can’t attend the live session? You will be emailed a link to the recording of the event.
