If you are not on Facebook, you will still have full access to the Curriculum, but you will be unable to participate in group sharing and discussions.

I’m a dog mom to a 10-year-old Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix who has her own journey with confidence.

My beloved Collie/Brittany Spaniel mix, who was with me for more than 15 years, passed in September 2024. She was reactive for much of her life, and learning to understand, support, and advocate for the dog in front of me taught me lessons that continue to shape Golden Dog today.

One of the biggest was this:

Giving our dogs a great life isn’t about doing everything. It’s about understanding what our individual dog needs.

That philosophy will be at the heart of the new Golden Dog membership.

Beginning in 2027, joining Golden Dog will no longer mean simply receiving access to benefits and figuring everything out on your own.

Guidance will be at the forefront from Day 1.

We’ll learn about you and your dog—their personality, age, health, mobility, confidence, sensitivities, interests, natural behaviors, Adventure Style, wellness needs, and the goals you have for your life together.

From there, we’ll help create a more personalized path through Golden Dog.

before joining the Membership

Can I join the membership any time?

Our membership is open year round and you can join at any time. Each month a different bonus/incentive rolls out for new members. This is announced on the first of every month on our social media channels and at the top of this page.

Do your certified dog training partners practice positive reinforcement?

Yes! If a dog trainer does not adhere to our Core Beliefs & Values, we will not work with them or allow them to connect with our members.

If I am not a member, can I still participate in events?

Currently yes, except for member-only events. Priority for limited ticket events is given to members first. Usually 3-5 days after, remaining tickets are released to our Community members and the general public. As the membership grows, we anticipate offering less events to the Community to keep our participation manageable, welcoming, and safe for members.

What types of experts do you work with?

We collaborate with certified dog trainers, canine fitness experts, veterinarians, pet photographers, animal communicators, and other pet professionals who demonstrate a commitment to our Core Beliefs & Values. Most experts we work with are located in NH, ME, or MA, but we occasionally bring in national experts who offer topics of interest to members.

Can I bring my kids to events?

Yes. Two children up to the age of 18 are welcome to attend events with you and use your member discount to reserve tickets. They can also attend Member Only Events with you at no additional charge.

If I want to attend a special event as a member, can I bring my family with me?

Yes. We can’t wait to welcome your human and furry family to our special events. As a Member, you can purchase 3 additional tickets for friends and family at your discounted member rate.

How many dogs can I bring to an event?

For safety reasons, we allow each participant to bring up to two dogs to an event. There are times when we limit participation to one dog/person for maximum happiness. This information will be posted in the event listing.

Where do you host events?

The majority of our events are hosted in Strafford & Rockingham County, but we do get as far west as Concord, NH and extend south into Essex County in MA and York County in ME. Occasionally, we will host special events in additional areas depending on the type of event and venue.

Can my partner receive my member discount for events?

Our Membership is per person, but your significant other, friend or family member can join with our Plus One membership for an additional $50 and enjoy all the same benefits and perks that you do. Without a membership, they are still welcome to join you at Member Only events but must pay the non-member rate to attend Pop Up, Pack, and Official Club Adventures.
